Calculator Den is free to use, and we keep it that way partly through advertising and partly through affiliate links. This page explains, in plain terms, what that means for you.

What an affiliate link is

Some of the links on our pages are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to buy something, we may earn a small commission from the seller. It never costs you anything extra. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be without our link.

How we decide what to recommend

We only place a recommendation where it genuinely fits the page you are on, for example a budgeting tool next to a budgeting calculator. A commission never buys a recommendation and never changes the answer a calculator gives you. If we would not suggest something to a friend, we do not put it on the site.

How affiliate links are marked

Recommendations that use an affiliate link are clearly labelled on the page, and the links themselves carry a "sponsored" tag so search engines can see them for what they are. Our calculators, results and guides are never affected by whether a link earns us anything.
